That Titan Guy

I feel much better, but I plenty weak. I’m hoping that eating a full meal will put some energy in me. I hate being sick… I smell bad when I’m sick. I’m not a smell bad kinda guy.

Monday, as I was heading out to work, the dude who found me after I conked myself loopy a couple of months ago flagged me to his car. He’s moving to Texas and didn’t want to carry some of his weights all the way there so he gave them to me. He told me that maybe if I worked out more I wouldn’t be such a lightweight and be taken out by inanimate objects. >_<

Still it was nice of him and very illuminating since they’re 35bl dumbbells and when I was working out 2 years ago I had little problem doing concentration curls with the same weight… I can’t even do a single repetition now. I guess I’ll need to go get some lighter weights do get back up to that.  Just a little secret now… shhh, I think I’ve only told one person about this, but I stopped working out because my muscle weight gain made me feel like I was getting fat again… dumb huh?  It’s funny what we allow our minds to do when we’re insecure about some things.

This week’s All Star Batman and Robin was removed from the shipment because it had naughty words that the black bar that was supposed to cover it up wasn’t large enough to hid what the word really was.  But some of the shipment made it to some stores and those store decided it was better to sell them marked up rather than send them back as DC and Diamond requested. However, that meant that yesterday I fielded calls all day from people thinking we had copies to sell and I even had one person accuse me of not selling them at the store so I can make a killing on e-bay… I love my regular customers, the vast majority of them are readers, entertaining conversationalists (read: entertaining as you see fit ^_^) and fine folks, but there are some people who aren’t my regulars that are pure speculators and they are invariably the most foul and bitter people you’re ever likely to meet. I don’t like those type of people much… I guess I’ll likely never will.

Speaking of bitter…  Politics!!!  It’s no secret to people who know me that I’m pretty much an Independent.  I don’t much care for the politics of the Ds and Rs because I feel that in many cases they’re the same.  Oh sure, the nuances of their respective beliefs are different, but ultimately I often feel that they play a game at it just to continue feeding the machine of Federal Government’s overbearing encroachment in our everyday lives. They just have different agendas, but basically the both believe they know better than we do about how we should live our lives and spend our monies. I’ll give the State Government their due, but Federal… they’re wasteful, arrogant and believe that they’re beholden to no-one once they win their elections… until the next time that is.

Sarah Palin… you know, I don’t know why the Republicans are so intent on making a big deal out of the fact that more feminists aren’t on the Palin band wagon.  It’s pretty much a no brainer when you look at the fact that feminists are, you know, big proponents of the reproductive rights of women and Palin isn’t.  That is pretty damn big hurdle to overcome to support her.  The idea that she should get a pass simply because the Reps put a woman up there is a little… I dunno… belittling???

I used to like McCain… seriously, 8 years ago I would’ve voted for him with no doubt, but now, that man that I thought really was a Maverick is a pale shadow of himself. Those things that I admired him for standing up for have been sold off in the last eight years for this recent bid for the Presidency. 

I don’t know now, I’m not likely to vote Obama.  While I agree on many social issues, I’m not too keen on many of his fiscal issues.  I’m not one to believe that I was my vote for voting for an Independent and oh how I wished that Ron Paul would’ve run for Independent.  Ralph Nader and Bob Barr don’t particularly do much for me.

I’ve been looking at a lot of other “Candidates” just for fun.  Some are quite amusing.

I seriously wonder if anyone in the United Fascist Union really thinks that they’ll get much in the way of votes.
